Club Hope and Prairie Vale Students Raise $3593.00 for "Water is Life"

On Monday, February 8th, Mr. Ken Surritte, the founder of "Water is Life" came to Prairie Vale Elementary to accept our checks to go towards the purchase of "Water is Life" purification straws for the people of Haiti. Over 125 students, staff, and parents made our donation possible. Mr. Surritte explained how the filtration straws work and he brought over 300 straws with him. All the students and adults who donated were able to sign their names on the straws to let the people of Haiti know that real people, here in Oklahoma, care about what is happening to them.
