Over 50 children ( 10 and 11 year old children!!) applied to become members of Club HOPE/ O Ambassadors. The children listed many reasons, some of them said...
" I'm not a person who wants to join just so I can be in the club, I am a person who wants to join so I can help."
" I want to help the world so when I grow up, it will be a better place."
" I have been looking for ways to help other people throughout this year... I want to join Club HOPE to build my character."
" If we want the world to change we have to do something about it. If we want the world to change we have to start with ourselves."
" I would like my life to make a difference."
" It will make me feel good about myself."
" There was a time when alot of people had to help my family. I want to give back."
" I would like to learn more about how to help people who are less fortunate than me."
" I would love to be in Club HOPE because I love helping people and I want to become a better person.
" I believe if everyone would help each other, we could solve some of the problems in the world."
" I would gladly give up my recess for club meetings. I think I could make a difference.

Club HOPE at Prairie Vale
Club HOPE is a fifth grade club at Prairie Vale Elementary School in Edmond, Oklahoma which was started in 2006. HOPE stands for Help One Person Everyday. We believe that we can begin to make our world a better place, even if we are young. In the club we start by being kind to ourselves, our families, our school, our community, then the world. The ultimate goal of Club HOPE is to empower us and help us grow up to be responsible and caring young men and women.
In 2007, we were fortunate to be chosen to be affiliated with the O Ambassadors organization and many of our activities are done in support of the children of Kenya.
